Residents and visitors are drawn to Great Bay for its aesthetic and recreational value. The Reserve supports multiple recreational uses on both water and land. These include kayaking, walking, hunting, boating, fishing, and bird watching.
Access
Access to Little Bay and Great Bay is restricted by the changing tides. At low tide, a large portion of Great Bay becomes a mud flat with limited channel access.
Recreation
A variety of opportunities for recreation can be found within the reserve.
