Trails

The Reserve has numerous properties that are open to recreation, including hunting and fishing. Reserve properties offer several walking and hiking trails.

Adams Point
This area provides views of both Great and Little Bays and is ideal for hiking. Once the home of "Reformation" John Adams, the property includes a viewing platform and an interpretive trail that highlights the cultural history of Great Bay.

Sandy Point
This site is home to the Great Bay Discovery Center and offers several trails. These include an universally accessible 1700 foot boardwalk that has interpretive signage and offers spectacular views of Great Bay. Trail guides are available on-site.

Bellamy River Wildlife Management Area
Managed by NH Fish and Game, this property is located along the Bellamy River on Garrison Road in Dover.

Wagon Hill Farm
This site has spectacular views of Little Bay. Its numerous trails wind through upland field, forest, marsh and shoreline habitats.

Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge
The refuge, located on the east shore of Great Bay, has two trails open to the public. For more information, please call the refuge office at (603) 431-7511.
