The research program at GBNERR collaborates with multiple state, federal, university, and non-governmental entities to promote projects that will ultimately provide coastal managers with information necessary to make decisions that impact our coast.  A majority of research and monitoring activities are conducted in partnership with the University of New Hampshire (UNH).  The Research Coordinator works in cooperation with the GBNERR Research Advisory Board to structure specific research initiatives.  An example is the document entitled A Synthesis of Research Needs for the Great Bay Estuary (PDF) intended to focus research efforts in the Great Bay Estuary.
