The Coastal Training Program provides science based training resources to individuals who are responsible for making decisions that affect coastal resources. The purpose is to ensure that coastal decision makers have the tools they need to address critical resource management issues.
The Coastal Training Program (CTP) is a comprehensive approach for educating coastal decision makers and other coastal partners about issues that affect the sustainability of our region’s estuaries.
The vision of the CTP is ecosystem-based management of coastal resources based on sound scientific knowledge and the understanding of long-term environmental, social, and economic consequences of management decisions and actions.
The mission of the Coastal Training Program is to augment informed decision making by transferring technical information and training to target audiences.
The CTP maintains knowledge of the training market available to coastal decision makers and will develop programs that address coastal decision maker needs and address critical training opportunities that arise.
The GBNERR CTP has been active in coastal New Hampshire with programs and workshops for coastal decision makers and has an established partnership base. CTP will work with our partners to provide the best training available for coastal decision makers. The CTP will continue to forge new partnerships whenever they forward the goals of the CTP and partners.
